I’ve got nothing running on this machine besides Audio Programs. During the install Windows 7 asked me three times if I was sure I wanted to load this driver as the best one is already loaded.

There’re 3 drivers bundled in windows 7, change the driver to the one except Legacy.

My understanding is that most if not all controllers are supported with the drivers included with Windows 7. This is looking like the iPhone issue and it’s antennae.

There must be something with how the OS is trying to index the contents of the drive that were causing the system to hang when working with files on it.

Windows 7 and Firewire problem

I have dozens of FireLite Firewire drives laying around and was hhost crazy because they worked for a while and then all of a sudden an Event 25 error showed up saying the firmware was out-of-date so Windows was stopping it! Sunday, February 9, 9: Wednesday, December 7, 8: Echo Audio strongly suggests switching to the legacy driver.

I havd it set up on XP this way. I switched it to cia newer drivers, again nothing. Perhaps a System Restore Point will do the job.

So if the Legacy driver alone worked for you, it iiim have been because you did not have any Apple software installed.

This issue is exclusively with Microsoft and their Windows 7, both bit and bit versions.

Is Microsoft donig anything to address this, or simply stating revert to legacy drivers? It worked in XP Hello!

So how do get into that Bios no idea what that is and tweak that speedstep? And it got worse. It worked in a pre release of Win 7 but is broken in the final version.
